I do have it hooked up to a $1000+ amp that probably provides lots of headroom, but I? M sure they would work great on most any receiver. With 4 inch front stage, it would be way worth the small extra cost. I haven't had to add any speakers to this configuration to make it sound well balanced. I tired to force the bolt in and the amount of torque was enough to break the insert free from the enclosure.

First you need to set the cross over very high to help fill in the mid range. First off they should use a slightly larger driver in the fronts and center. A 3" driver really struggles with the low end of mid bass. They don't sound bad, but they definably would sound WAY better with this small change. I do not like the difference in sound levels between the normal level of speech and the action levels; the difference tends to be too loud .
